The new U.S. Immigration law that went into effect on January 1, 2003 requires dependents of F-1 and J-1 students who are planning to obtain a dependent visa (spouses and children under the age of 21) to be issued a SEVIS I-20.
New Applicants
Our new online application requires you to give your dependent’s information online. We will need their two documents to be faxed to our office in order to process the I-20 for your dependent.
Documents for Dependents:
- Copy of biographic page of passport needed.
- Proof of funds of at least $14,000 for each dependent.
Continuing Students
F-1 students who are currently attending the SAL program must contact our office regarding their dependents who are planning to obtain a dependent visa.
